A Touch of European Café offers a dining experience that transports you far from Glendale’s desert backdrop to the hearty, comforting flavors of Eastern Europe, especially Poland. This full-service restaurant is best known for its authentic dishes like pierogi, kielbasa, and cabbage rolls, which showcase traditional Polish cooking with a homey, made-from-scratch approach. The menu is detailed, with several platters and soups that resonate deeply with anyone familiar with or curious about Eastern European cuisine.

Step inside, and you’ll find a quiet, cozy setting where the atmosphere encourages slow, relaxed meals rather than quick bites. Unlike many busy spots in the area, the café intentionally keeps music low or absent, fostering a peaceful environment where visitors can savor their food and conversation. The owners, who handle the cooking and serving themselves, bring a warm, personal touch that makes the experience feel more like eating at a friend's home kitchen than in a commercial restaurant.

This place suits diners looking for comfort food with roots and locals who prefer an unhurried meal free from noisy distractions. The soups—such as mushroom soup and the distinct traditional white borscht—stand out, often cited by guests as highlights that evoke memories or offer new tastes of classic Eastern European fare. The Polish sampler platter and combinations featuring pierogi and kielbasa offer good variety for newcomers and regulars alike.

Outdoor seating is available and welcoming, including dog-friendly options, which adds a nice touch for those who want to enjoy Arizona’s milder days with their pets nearby. Weekday or weekend visits during midday or early evening work well for people seeking a quiet, intimate meal rather than a bustling dining scene.

Overall, A Touch of European Café is a spot where cultural authenticity meets a calm dining atmosphere. It appeals especially to those who appreciate detailed culinary traditions, a personable service style, and a setting that invites lingering over small plates or hearty entrées without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Me and my wife come here for the great food! We also come here to relax while we eat, which anymore, can be difficult to do these days. No blaring music, just peaceful, a cozy place. The couple who own and do all the cooking and serving are amazing! So very nice and personable. Back to the food. The soups here are the best soups I have ever had, and I’m 61! The sweet basil tomato with rice, just amazing! The dill sour pickle soup……you must get a sample taste to believe a soup with this funny name, could be so D.. good! I had a bowl, a big bowl at that, my last visit, of the Tomato, my favorite, and pared it with my favorite Chicken Salad sandwich on walnut, apricot bread, this too is my favorite ever, so, good, I have now had it at least 6 times in a row over the last two years. My wife this last time had the stuffed peppers, which she loved, with a cup of Borscht soup, she loved, and so did I. We will be back soon!

My partner surprised me with a cooking class for Mother’s Day, and it was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — cozy, charming. The food was beyond delicious, authentic, and clearly made with love. What really stood out was the owner’s kindness and passion — they made everyone feel welcome and at home. This experience was the perfect blend of fun, flavor, and heart. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

This restaurant is such a special experience. I did not feel like we were in Arizona at all while dining here. The food and service was excellent and they had dog friendly seating outside, which I very much appreciated. 10/10 would recommend.

We shared the Polish sampler (3 potato cheese pierogi, smoked kielbasa, a cabbage roll, and a large scoop of hunter stew), limoncello cake and Makowiec (Poppy Seed Roll Cake) to go. Delicious. Came back later in the week and got sandwiches to go. They were big. We had them for two meals.

This is a very quaint restaurant. A little cold for January even in Phoenix. Good thing I wore pants. The owners are very nice, in assuming the people working are the owners. Omg, the shredded pickled beets were yummy. I had the stuffed cabbage, mom had the goulash. My son stayed safe with a chicken sandwich, which was huge. I now want to go back and try the pickle soup, but it's not available every day.
